About the team
The 2009-2010 Shippensburg Women's Rugby team is a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union and a club sport at Shippensburg University. The team practices twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays in both the Fall and Spring seasons. Practices are held on Eckles Field, located behind the steam plant on campus, from 3:30pm to 6:00pm. Games are held almost every Saturday while in season.
The team is coached by Mr. Scott Stratton and assisted by Ms. Sherri Magnuson. The girls are led by President Jess Walker and Vice President Shannon Lane.
While it is a club sport, the team takes this sport very seriously. The girls took the title of Division II National Champions for the first time in Spring 2008! In Spring 2009, the girls continued their reign of Division II National Champions.

This team is a unique blend of people that have a passion for competition and fun. These girls work hard and play hard and their domination on the field shows it. Make sure to come out and support the girls as they start their Fall season in September!
The girl's team has also moved from Division II to Division I this fall season.
